Reddit is about the best place you can go to right now if you are interested in Cryptocurrency. If you have a coin you are interested in, chances are there is a subreddit dedicated to that coin where you can subscribe and ask questions.

The problem with a lot of these subreddits is the immaturity of the overall member base that submits content. I spend a lot of time in /new/ down voting pump and dump style posts, immature meme and misspellings trying to be cute (what the hell is this HODL shit anyways?)

Good content deserves exposure and you shouldn’t have to wade through utter shit from teenagers and socially inept adults to find it.

Just as an example, these are recent submissions that bring down the communities that they are being submitted to, rather than to encourage thoughtful questions and dialogue:

Those are just a few quick ones I have noticed while browsing /new/ and the normal feed. As I have been the most active within the Litecoin community over the last few months, it is certainly one that seems to have obtained a cult following.

While its not completely awful it is frustrating to see the same poor content being submitted and in some cases rewarded with exposure. As Cryptocurrencies continue to age, hopefully the community as a whole continues to mature as well.
